Terms of Service

1. About Crewlo
Crewlo is a business operating platform built for South African tradesmen. It is developed and operated by Cooper Creative Solutions ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Crewlo platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. Questions can be directed to carolyn@coopercreative.co.za.
2. Service description
Crewlo provides tools that help trade businesses manage inbound enquiries, triage client messages using AI, track leads through a sales pipeline, schedule jobs, and communicate with clients across WhatsApp, email, and web. The platform is currently in beta and features may change without notice.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Crewlo to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or misleading communications
- Harass, threaten, or harm any person
- Violate any applicable South African or international law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
- Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform without permission
- Impersonate another person or entity
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms without notice or refund.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Crewlo is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing is displayed at signup and may change with 30 days' written notice. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Payments are processed via PayFast. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis. Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of your account.
Free trial periods, where offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
5. Cancellation policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing carolyn@coopercreative.co.za. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months.
Upon cancellation your account will remain accessible until the end of the paid period. After that, your data is retained for 90 days before being permanently deleted. You may request an export of your data before deletion.
6. Your data and content
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create in Crewlo (client contacts, messages, job notes, etc.). By using the service you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any personal information about third parties (such as client phone numbers and email addresses) and that doing so complies with POPIA and any other applicable privacy legislation.
7. AI-generated content
Crewlo uses AI to generate suggested replies and triage information. AI output may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated messages before sending them to clients, and for any communications sent from your account.
We make no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Cooper Creative Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Crewlo, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of clients, or data loss.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
Crewlo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
9. Third-party services
Crewlo integrates with third-party services including Meta WhatsApp Business API, Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database), and PayFast (payments). Your use of these integrations is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or availability of third-party services.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
